Went down a Maira Kalman rabbit hole the other day, I have been there before but its been awhile. I love her.
I actually did some work helping to organize her studio years ago, she made me a coffee in her kitchen and we chatted, seems so funny to think about now. I kept the check I received from her, it was from M&Co which I thought was really cool, I was such a big fan of Colors Magazine as a preteen and it felt like a magic moment.
